Why did you choose our program? - I've always wanted to care for patients who have the most difficulty accessing healthcare, and a county hospital was a great place for me to achieve that goal. Furthermore, I love how community outreach is built into the curriculum, which I feel is unique to this program. And overall, I love being able to train alongside individuals who have the same values as I do regarding advocacy and health equity.
Plans after residency: I'm pretty open minded! But so far I've considered dual hospitalist and combined ID. I particularly have an interest in maternal/perinatal HIV.
