What does working at LAC+USC mean to you? As an immigrant growing up in Los Angeles without consistent access to health care, I keenly recall a mix of emotions when my hard-working parents had to pay an exorbitant amount in cash for a simple leg cast when I injured myself in high school. Since then, I’ve been motivated to provide the highest level of care to our surrounding community, while remaining compassionate and learning from our patients’ voyage on a daily basis. Our faculty, residents, and staff embody this sentiment: that access to humane and effective health care is an innate right for ALL members of a just community.
